Counsellia was born on the streets of Nigeria, from a simple but
painful observation: young people are hurting, and they have nowhere
safe to turn.

A Stranger on the Street Changed Everything
It started with noticing. Young people around me wore sadness like a second skin: quieter than they should be, more distant than made sense. Whenever I approached them, the words wouldn’t come. The walls were too high.
Then one day, a young girl stopped me on the street. She needed help, trapped in a toxic friendship with no one she trusted enough to talk to. That moment broke something open in me.
I began asking: what if teenagers and young adults could get help easily, anonymously, and without the fear of being judged or stigmatized? A place they could trust. A place to feel free. A place to find real solutions and ready help.
That question became Counsellia.
